A fashion consultant is someone who helps you dress your best for any occasion. They will help you put together outfits that make you look and feel your best. Why do you need one? Because not everyone knows how to put together an outfit that looks great and makes them feel confident. A fashion consultant can help with that!

Fashion Consultant Job Description

A fashion consultant’s job is to help their clients put together the best possible outfits for any occasion. This might mean picking out clothes, accessories, and shoes that go well together. It could also mean advising on what colors or styles to wear. Fashion consultants often work with people who are getting ready for a special event, like a wedding or corporate event. But a fashion consultant is also helping you in your day-to-day outfits and teaching you which colors and fits are working best for you.

Helping the fashion industry

As a successful fashion consultant, it’s not only my job to be a personal shopper. I do also fashion consulting for industry professionals as a department store to help improve the retail environment for their clients. As to increase sales for the company, present current trends, seasonal trends, and assist customers to improve their fashion sense.

One of my biggest skills is to help constantly changing fashion companies and fashion designers to become size-inclusive. As a plus-size fashion stylist and image consultant, I am here to represent plus-size women.

Why I became a Fashion consultant

I became a fashion consultant because I love helping people feel confident in their own skin. When you know how to dress your best, it can change your whole outlook on life. Not to mention, it’s really fun to experiment with different styles and find what looks great on you! If you’re looking for someone who can help you put together the best possible outfits, a fashion consultant is a perfect person for you.

I made the decision when I became a plus size woman

I have been a size 0 for so many years, but when I became a plus size woman it hit me in the face. As there was almost no fashion advice out there for bigger-sized women.

Fashion trends are mostly catered to skinny or normal-sized women, fashion merchandising too. I felt terrible and my style was awful as of the lack of variety of clothing and style.

How to become a fashion consultant

If you’re interested in becoming a fashion consultant, there are a few things you can do to get started.

First, consider taking some courses in fashion design or fashion styling & image consulting. This will give you a good foundation of knowledge about the industry.

Next, start building your own personal style. Experiment with different looks and find what works best for you.

Finally, begin networking with other fashion professionals. Attend industry events, meet with designers,brands and experts and build relationships with people in the business.

If you’re passionate about fashion and helping others look their best, then a career as a fashion consultant may be perfect for you!

I’m a fashion consultant who is passionated about making the fashion industry size inclusive.

As a plus-size woman who struggled for so many years to find any fitting clothes on the market. My biggest goal in my professional life has become to make the fashion industry size inclusive.

Unfortunately, there are still not many brands and designers who are size inclusive which is a shame. The size inclusive fashion industry is still an untapped market. I am here to help the industry to become inclusive and to help my clients and future clients to shop like every other woman does!

What is your reason?

There are many reasons why someone may decide to become a fashion consultant. However, one of the most common reasons is because they enjoy helping people feel confident in their own skin. When you know how to dress your best, it can change your whole outlook on life.

I would lie if I would tell you it is super easy to become a fashion consultant and work in this industry. You must be willing to learn, and to form a business by yourself or at least find someone who is willing to employ you. With no expertise it will of course be not so easy, but I do not want to disencourage you.
