Happy Halloween! Check out my plus-size costume creation

Happy Halloween!

Did you know Halloween is my favorite day of the year? Since I was a little girl I loved getting dressed in costumes, and the absolutely spooky Halloween atmosphere.I love ghosts’ stories, candies and the movie nightmare before Christmas, oh and did I forget to mention…costumes?

This year I decided to be Janet Snakehole – a rich widow with a terrible secret, which is April Ludgate Halloween costume from the series Parks & Recreation.

Due to the current circumstances it is not really possible to have a party this year, but I still wanted to decorate my apartment, have some Halloween snacks, watch my nightmare before Christmas and get my costume on.I decided to get a costume which I can recycle for other purposes, as going out in the evening.

Since I’m a deep winter type, black is actually my color and I’m able to wear all black outfits, which I normally don’t recommend my clients – only if they are true winter types as me.

This beautiful pencil bodycon dress in the off-shoulder look is perfect for plus-size women, hourglasses as me, and also for pear-shaped women as this look is balancing out the figure and bringing more attention to the waistline. The only struggle is to find a good fitted strapless bra, without the perfect bra the outfit just won’t work out.

Also, the pearl necklace and bracelet can easily be recycled for other looks, or even other costumes, you could also wear the jewelry on a daily basis, if this is too much jewelry for you just take the bracelet and leave out the necklace.

What about you? Do you like costumes? Will you have one this year? Leave me a comment, I am super curious what your costume preferences are.

I also made a YouTube video regarding my outfit, check it out
